Etsu Double Yuzu Japanese Gin 700ml

Double Yuzu Gin is distilled at the Akita Distillery in Akita Prefecture, Japan, on the island of Honshu. Akita Prefecture is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan and stretches east of the Ou Mountains, the longest mountain range in Japan. It is from these mountains that Etsu Double Yuzu draws its fresh and bright flavours. Etsu Yuzu Gin is macerated for seven days using traditional botanicals such as Japanese yuzu, juniper berries, liquorice root, angelica, coriander and matcha. After maceration, only the gin is distilled without the botanicals, allowing the oils to develop. Only after distillation is freshwater from the mountains added, giving the gin its fresh taste. Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is fresh with citrus notes and uses natural ingredients that give the gin a unique and light finish.

Etsu Japanese Gin 700ml

It is with great pride that Asahikawa distillery made this unique gin on the Northern island of Hokkaido in Japan. The main botanicals - green bitter orange peel, coriander, licorice and angelica root - macerate for more than 24h in neutral cane spirit distilled thanks to a copper still with a swan neck to 83% vol. It is then diluted down to 43% vol with water sourced from the Taisetsu Mountains and filtered through charcoal for optimal purity.

Etsu Pacific Ocean Water Gin is distilled at Asahikawa Distillery in Hokkaido. Hokkaido is the second largest of the Archipelago's four main islands, but the second least populated. It is located north of the island of Honshu from which it is separated by the Tsugaru Strait. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the East, the Sea of Japan to the West and the Sea of Okhotsk to the north. In the Meiji Era (1868-1912) the island took its current name Hokkaido, which means 'the way to the North Sea'. Fresh water from the mountain source and sea water from the Sea of Japan are added to carefully selected botanicals, such as juniper berries, bitter orange peel, liquorice root, angelica and coriander to produce this unique gin, which captures the Japanese coast line in a bottle.
